Should the Piano Be So Hard? 101

in Practice Tips / Psychology by (updated 2625 days ago)

“How tough should this be?” I often will hear people say “This shouldn’t be so hard” with regard to piano technique . . . so my question is always “How hard should it be? Who ever determined that!?”

Instead of comparing ourselves to others, or an imaginary idea of how hard something should be, we can accept where we’re at and enjoy the process. Not only is this less stressful and more fun, it leads to much better results.
